I can be your best friend or your worst fucking nightmare.
The Savages are my family and the Badlands is our paradise.
When that’s threatened, no one is safe.
Carnage and chaos unfold around me.
Loyalties are tested. Truths start to unravel.
When everything I know teeters on the verge of going up in flames, the only girl I tried to save, may end up saving me.
I was the good girl, the one who saw beauty in people.
When the devil marked me everything changed.
The world I’ve been chained to is merciless and cruel.
I was ready to leave it all behind, but then he found me again.
He needed saving, I needed a reminder of who I was.
Nothing could prepare me for what came next.
Heathens is book 4 in the bestselling Badlands series. This is a complete story with no cliffhanger, however, books 1-3 must be read prior.
This might be the last story in this series but I don’t think it’s the end of this terrifying, terrific world the author created for us. It’s one of the best dark, slightly disturbing, dystopian series I’ve read. I loved it! Once again the author takes us on a wild ride of evil cult folks, dangerous degenerates, bloody badlands, feral savages, fabulous gore, dark love and nasty sex. This story is about Cobra and Blue and their relationship as a couple. Cobra is ruthlessly lethal, fiercely loyal and a ferocious Savage. He’s back with Blue and he’s not letting her go. Blue is very forgiving after the events at the end of the last book but she’s always been too nice for her own good. With determination and their sizzling chemistry it works. I expected a little more wow in the fight for the city but overall it was a satisfying ending. This was a lighter version from the other stories but that’s not saying much because it’s still beautiful in its brutality and the twisted mayhem. I’m sorry to see the Badlands go but look forward to the generation of degenerates.
Natalie Bennett is the creator of erotic stories that always come with a warning label. She writes about depraved alpha a**holes and women that love to hate them. Her books don’t follow any specific tropes, have no set word counts, and tend to deviate from traditional HEA’s.
When she isn’t in front of her computer she’s spending time with her husband and their three little boys.
Natalie is an avid fan of caramel frappes, horror movies, Shameless, and of course, reading.
