On the surface, Sebastian “Baz” Valenti is a rock god with the lifestyle to match. With his drop-dead gorgeous looks and his band, Baseline Sins, at the top of the charts, he can have any woman he wants. But the constant touring and recording has taken its toll. Now he’s turned to scoring films, a gig that has introduced him to the one woman he really wants but can’t have…
Trudeau Morrison is all business all the time. As managing director of ManDown Films, it’s her job to keep Baz focused on business too. It’s not an easy task, considering Baz has made no secret of his desire for her. But Tru doesn’t want to get involved with a rock star, even if he is the hottest man she’s ever met.
💋🔥💋 My Review:
An engaging sexy romance between an uptight film company executive and a hot rock star going through a rough time. These two are opposites in every way and their idea of flirting is fighting. There’s a lot to really like about this story. Baz is not the usual rocker at this time in his life. He’s taking a break from his popular band to score a movie so there are no concerts, groupies or tour buses. I like his personality for creating his music. It seemed authentic. Tru is a typical overachiever that doesn’t like Baz’s rock music or his lifestyle and doesn’t see him as a man she should be with. But she can’t resist the sexiness that is Baz. When they finally give in to their chemistry it is hot with a side of kink! This is my first read in the series and I could tell there were previous stories but the author did a good job of not giving away too many details. This is a stand-alone story. There’s a bit of a shocker toward the end that’s interesting. The writing pulls you in and makes you care about these characters and their sexy love story.
