Ilikebooksbest.com – “A feel good romance with some Mafia ties!”
World of Books 65 – “Sizzling, Sassy, Scorching Hot. I dare you not to fall in love with Rome and Elisabet.”
BookHavenBookBlog – “A sensually delightful must read in the contemporary genre from biblio extraordinaire, Dani Rene!”
This is one hot couple but for some reason I couldn’t connect with them. Even the sexiness was a misconnect for me. Elisabet was up and down. One minute she was the in-charge business woman and the next she was a playboy’s plaything. Her past was a little mysterious with the mafia connection and an old boyfriend. Rome was the typical poor boy makes good with his sexy British accent and dirty talk. It’s insta lust/love for him which seemed out of character but good for Elisabet. All that power and passion just for her. There were loads of sexy times between the two but the heat was missing for me. A few things with the plot didn’t add up. She was gung-ho to get her business going but then it took a backseat to her budding relationship with Rome. And then the deadly mafia shows up and Rome going to protect her? Uh…it’s the MAFIA! That did add some suspense to the mainly romance story. The idea for the story was good but it was a miss for me. I did like the playboy buddies relationship between Rome and Dominic. It was a fast lane to love, and a healthy dose of lust, as the transplanted bakery owner and her real estate mogul find love and a bit of danger thanks to her past life in New York.
