Ashtyn Echols just made the most impulsive decision of her life. Maybe itโ€™s a mistake, but it doesnโ€™t feel like one. She canโ€™t get married today. Not when she has her whole life ahead of her and a bucket list of things she wants to do before she ties herself down and becomes the perfect politicianโ€™s wife the way her family expects her to.
For the first time ever, Ashtyn is free. Free of all the expectations and demands. Free to make her own choices, and her own mistakes.
Tyler St. James has jumped out of airplanes, hiked into a volcano and plans to climb Everest someday soon. His brothers call him impulsive and itโ€™s true. Adventure is his drug of choice which is why getting assigned security detail for the wedding of a Senatorโ€™s daughter seems like its destined to be the most boring day of his lifeโ€ฆ until she runs.
Putting her on the back of his motorcycle might seem crazy but itโ€™s also the only responsible thing to do. If she wants fun, heโ€™s the man for the job. She can check off a few of her bucket list items and he can keep her safe without her ever knowing heโ€™s hired muscle.
Only, he never expected to fall for her during an impromptu road trip to Vegas. He never expected her to grow more independent and impossible to resist by the mile. And he never expected her to find out he was being paid to look after her.
Will the truth mean the end of their adventure, or is the destination just the beginning of their journey together?

โ€œRide a motorcycle. Take a road trip. Get drunk. Dance on a bar. Correct me if Iโ€™m wrong but you knocked those out already. Why are you bothering to write them down?โ€

She shrugged, โ€œI like checking things off to-do lists.โ€

That made him laugh, โ€œSomehow that doesnโ€™t surprise me.โ€

She continued, putting check marks by the things theyโ€™d done already. He could read most of the napkin even upside down. He smiled as he watched her write but when she paused and glanced back up at him from beneath her lashes, biting her bottom lip far too suggestively for his liking he felt heat curl in his belly and stomped it down immediately.

โ€œDonโ€™t you dare write one-night stand on that list, Ashtyn.โ€

She flushed a pretty shade of pink, โ€œHow did you knowโ€ฆโ€

โ€œYou mentioned it last night. Remember?โ€

That made her cringe, โ€œOh yeahโ€ฆ unfortunately I do.โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t put it on the list.โ€

She smirked, โ€œBut it is on my list.โ€

โ€œNot this one.โ€ He tried to glare at her but wasnโ€™t sure the look worked for him when she only smiled in return. โ€œItโ€™s not going to happen.โ€

โ€œNeed I remind you that itโ€™s my list, not yours?โ€ She raised a perfect eyebrow.

โ€œNeed I remind you that weโ€™re sharing a hotel room from here to Vegas so youโ€™re not going to have much privacy.โ€

She looked offended, โ€œYouโ€™re joking.โ€

โ€œNot in the least.โ€ He eyed the napkin and frowned. โ€œYou can mark skinny-dipping off that list too.โ€

โ€œOh come on!โ€ she laughed, โ€œItโ€™ll be fun.โ€

โ€œGive me the list.โ€ He held out a hand but she jerked it away. โ€œAshtyn, give me the list.โ€

โ€œFine.โ€ She handed it over and he snatched the pen from her as well.

He read through it again, noting everything that she had listed. When he glanced back up at her she was wiggling uncomfortably in her chair. He sighed and folded the napkin, putting it in his pocket.

โ€œI will help you check everything on this list off that doesnโ€™t require bodily harm or the potential to be arrested.โ€

She rolled her eyes, โ€œAnd here I thought you took pride in being adventurous.โ€

โ€œEvery minute with you is exactly that, princess.โ€ He winked playfully and then scooted to the edge of the booth. โ€œCome on, if weโ€™re going to get all this done, we canโ€™t waste any more daylight.โ€

MY REVIEW:
A fantastic runaway bride romance and the second in this terrific Saint security series. Tyler St. James is the wild brother but heโ€™s trying to do his best for his older brother Hunter and the company even if itโ€™s not exactly what he wants. Heโ€™s all about extreme adventure and pushing the boundaries. Those boundaries are going to be tested when heโ€™s in the right place at the right time. That bride thatโ€™s running toward him is his job for the day. Luckily, Tyler jumps in to save her Ashtyn just doesnโ€™t know heโ€™s part of her fatherโ€™s security team and Tyler doesnโ€™t tell her. Well, thatโ€™s not going to end well. What starts out as Ashtynโ€™s bucket list turns into a sexy romance as Tyler is determined to give her the experiences sheโ€™s missed out on as the child of a public figure. Always the good girl with no real life experience. This is a fantastic follow up to the first book with spectacular characters in Tyler and Ashtyn. Loved it!
