Ilikebooksbest.comβ€œIf you have read any books by Giulia Lagomarsino, you know her characters are all zany and quite a bit crazy. That is one thing I love about her books.”

S&C’s Book Blog – β€œThis may of been a short interlude to the next book, but I loved every second and isn’t to be missed.”

Goodreads Review – β€œI absolutely loved this book!!!”

For the past few years, I was drawing dead. Every hand that was dealt to me couldn’t possibly give me a win. But with every step I took to move past my anger and hatred, I felt myself healing, and that was largely due to the Cortell brothers. Like it or not, they helped me when I needed it the most. Every time they let me drag them down to the station, every ticket they took from me, gave me the strength to keep going. What kind of man would I be if I didn’t return the favor?

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

MY REVIEW:

A quick, easy read with the Cortell brothers, their significant others, and the small town folks. All the couples are in force when Carly has a medical issue and needs help. That causes a ripple in her relationship with Josh but this couple is strong. On another front, Josh and sheriff Jack make strides in repairing their friendship. We see another side of Jack and I hope he get a story and has another chance at love. He deserves it. His deputy Corduroy (you’ll have to read to find out about that nickname) has a run in with a crazy beauty that has him smitten. Just par for the course in this town. Antonio and Ciara have a major struggle that hurt my heart. Love that couple. Jo is still on the hunt for love with a new guy in her sights. I was hoping she would pair with Jack but who knows. Maybe Jake is her guy. It’s all about catching up with this big group with a few emotional blips and lots of laughs. Wackiness at its best! Can’t wait for the next installment in this series.
