Tables turn in this bullying romance. The high school in crowd bullies the โstraysโ, a bunch of kids from the wrong side of town, until a gap year takes a twist as the strays take bullying to a new level. This has a different feel than most bully romances Iโve read. It starts out fast without much character development and weโre immediately pulled into the enemies turned lovers relationship between stray Zaryn and princess Ray. Zaryn has always had a thing for Ray and he sees her in a way no one else does. Ray has a few demons and sheโs in a lot of pain with a destructive way of dealing. But there are secrets about Ray that has Zaryn changing his perception of her even as he takes his revenge in a toying manner. There are twists and turns as the strays take their revenge out on their bullies and reveal the dark truths. The romance is interesting as Zaryn bullies Ray into a hot mess and she loves it. Some of the actions seemed a little advanced for these teens with a few BDSM elements. It was an intriguing read with an intense darkness to the bullying, justified revenge and a sexy romance.
