MY REVIEW:

Swoon worthy fabulousness! This author writes the best heroes and Jax is one of the best. I think I say that every time I read one of her stories but Jax is something different. The debonair wedding dress maker is full of charm and humor and sensual prowess. Who knew all the dirty deliciousness was hiding under that sophisticated, handsome exterior. A dreamy hunk! And when he knows he knows. It’s just too bad ‘his one’ is betrothed and he’s promised to make her dress. Jordan is a sweetheart and realizes the connection she has with Jax, but she’s promised to someone else. It’s a delicious push pull as Jax tries his hardest to make her jump into his arms while they plan the perfect wedding. The intense emotions as the two grow closer is a heart twisting read. Will Jordan ditch the horrible man that can’t spare a minute for her? Let’s hope so or Jax will be heartbroken. What is she thinking because Jax is perfection as he shows her what they could have together all the while taking sweet care of her. That includes helping with a mystery from her past. A missing sister. I love the mystery in the story that leads to an unexpected place and has me exciting for a new romance with a hunky Whiskey man. Yum! But first we have to finish the wonderful Braden family with sister Jillian finding her one. What a tease with her bad Bad man. I can’t wait! While this was a swoon-worthy dream romance with a sexy couple I was a little disappointed with the ending. No closure or epilogue left me wanting more. Maybe I’ll get it in future stories but I’m still bummed. This was another fabulous addition to this series with such a wonderful family and friends atmosphere as so many beloved characters made an appearance in the story. It was such a happy time as Jordan finally finds the family she’s been missing. The Bradens are just the ticket. So good! Loved it!

WEDDINGS WERE SUPPOSED to be joyful, bringing families together and celebrating the future on what should be the happiest day of a woman’s life. But for Jordan Lawler they were bittersweet, making her long for the family she’d lost. She tried to push that longing aside, just as she’d done nearly every day for nineteen years, and enjoy the beautiful spring evening and the wedding reception of her close friend Trixie and Trixie’s new husband, Nick.

She stood at the edge of the dance floor, taking in the glittering lights on the enormous barns and rustic wooden fences of their Pleasant Hill, Maryland, ranch. Lanterns dangled from tree limbs, and roses and wildflowers added a country touch to elegantly set tables. Trixie was a beautiful bride in a white strapless gown with exquisite pearl embellishments on the fitted bodice and a ruffled skirt that was long in the back and above the knee in the front, showing off her gorgeous legs and cowgirl boots. Her burly husband was equally handsome in dark dress slacks, a matching vest, and his ever-present cowboy hat. Jordan watched them chatting with two of Trixie’s brothers and a handful of Nick’s siblings and their parents. She had been introduced to so many Bradens and Jerichos tonight, it was hard to keep them all straight. Nick reached for Trixie’s hand, pulling her close with so much love in his eyes, Jordan was sure everyone around them felt it.

She looked away from the painful reminder of what she would never have with her fiancé.
