FREYA
I was raised to be a prize. Something to be traded for the right price.
I didn’t have a choice, but I guess it comes with the territory of being the daughter of a mafia king. Iโ€™ve always longed for more, though.
A life without chaos and blackmail. One where I donโ€™t have to worry if my lover will be murdered at the hands of the enemy, and I can just fade into the background.
But when Kian drifts into the picture, I consider abandoning that dream.
He shouldn’t like me, and he’s never wanted a relationship before, but he makes me feel things I never have. He speaks to my heart in a way only a lover can.
For so long, Iโ€™ve fought for normal, but now Kian is fighting for me, and Iโ€™m not sure I can say no.
KIAN
Sheโ€™s everything I never knew I wantedโ€“empathetic, compassionate, and knows what she wants. The complete opposite of someone who has been brought up in a world of crime.
She isnโ€™t hardened or heartless. Sheโ€™s soft and delicate, but the life I live isnโ€™t one she wants to be part of.
Although she doesnโ€™t like it, sheโ€™s no stranger to combat. I’ve fought for the things I want my entire life, and she’ll be no exception.
Iโ€™ll make her see she canโ€™t deny me or the chemistry we have. That we are worth fighting for.
Freya Doughty will be mine.
Does all that sound okay?

MY REVIEW:

Another great story in this thrilling series full of danger, drama, romance and family. I love this crazy mafia family always at the ready to defend their territory and loved ones. The Doughty siblings are at the center of the story with sweet Freya featured in this one along with her love interest the hunky Kian. She just wants out of the family business to lead a quite life without the danger. Kian is at the center of the danger as the bossโ€™s left hand man. Plus heโ€™s a MMA fighter. Yep, danger is his middle name but he is irresistible. This story didnโ€™t have the usual violence and brutality of the series that I really love but focuses on Freya and Kianโ€™s romance. It grew a little tedious and long until the danger hit and then the action ramped up. The villain wasnโ€™t a surprise but Desmond about face was. What was up with that?! I loved the whacked out, crazy Desmond. When Freya quit fighting her feelings the romance was hot and sweet. Kian is a romantic. Swoon! While this wasnโ€™t my favorite it is still a good addition to this series. The cliffhanger ending sucked but I canโ€™t wait for the next installment with Shane. I love this exciting mafia world.

Emma Luna is a USA Today Bestselling dark romance author from the UK. In a previous life she was a Midwife and a Lecturer, but now she listens to the voices in her head and puts pen to paper to bring their stories to life. In her spare time, when she should be sleeping, she also loves to edit, proofread, and format books for other amazing authors.

Emmaโ€™s books are dark, dangerous, and devilishly sexy. She loves writing about strong, feisty, but underestimated women, and the cocky, dirty-mouthed men they bring to their knees.

When Emma isnโ€™t writing, promoting, or editing books she can be found napping, colouring in adult colouring books, and collecting novelty notebooks. She also enjoys coffee and gossiping with her mum, playing or having hugs with her gorgeous nephew, who is the light of her life, stealing her parents dog Hector, and curling up on the sofa to watch a film with Mr Luna. Oh and for those of you that donโ€™t know, Emma is a hardcore Harry Potter fanโ€”Team Ravenclaw!!

Thank you for taking a chance on a crazy Brit and the voices inside her head. That makes you a true LUNAtic now too!
