Anyone in Australia probably knows how badly the Hawkesbury region has been hit in the last few years with floods (as have many regions on the east coast), and this charity has done incredible things to help the region in both times of disaster and on a daily basis. They are entirely volunteer-run and unfunded by the government so rely heavily on charitable donations and support.
