Tessa Bailey you have outdone yourself with this one. The ups and downs and sideways of emotions was incredible. I was roadkill by the end and my heart was smashed up! This is a beautiful, emotional love story that I want to read again immediately and savor every one of your beautiful words. Your love stories are always heart-twisting masterpieces with some of the hottest sex scenes ever but this one goes beyond your usual fabulousness. You kept me right on the torturous edge with the sexual tension and slow build of Naomi and Jason’s romance. My goodness, I was dying a little every time they interacted. The adult angst is heart stopping! From that first handshake I knew this would be a spectacular love story between these two. Jason is one of the most swoon-worthy, panty-melting, dirty-talking heroes ever to grace the pages of a book. An alpha hero beyond compare. His evolution from gruff, closed down war hero to strong, soft hearted lover is miraculous. And the woman behind his transformation is a wonderful creation. Naomi as the southern belle beauty queen is spot on to the culture and restrictiveness of southern society with maybe just a few hinky things. I could hear her accented voice in my head like an old friend. Her struggle to find her true self and her growth into the woman she became is captivating. Birdie is a marvel too. The story of a broken family recovering from a tragedy is as compelling as the sexy romance. This one is going to the top of my ‘read again’ list. Simply fantastic!

cross-country to New York City in under four days.

valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees,
a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her
husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put
herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace
University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force
as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her
attention.
