MY REVIEW
The asshole and the whore! These two are so hot they will melt your panties! I mean smoking and sizzling as only this author can give us. I vacillated between swooning and hating Ari. He was a little too cold for me at times and then he was ballistic hot. The man knows his way around a woman’s body with a little kink thrown in. The author did a fabulous job with Ari’s character as the rich, arrogant lawyer with daddy issues, but the star of the story is Saint Valentine. Her complexity is beautiful as she navigates her family responsibilities, school and several jobs all while trying to find a slice of happiness in letting go. Val just wants someone to take control for a change and take care of her. When she meets Ari at the club where she works sparks fly and soon she’s in so deep she fears that she‘s let go of too much control as their relationship goes full tilt. She did get down on herself and let the disparage between her and Ari’s social status take up too much head space for my liking. In true Ari form he does the wrong thing at the wrong time and as the saying goes “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” Bad Ari! Oh boy, does Valentine get back at him and he deserves it even if there is a tiny misunderstanding. But Ari doesn’t lose…ever so we’ll have to wait for the second part to find out how outrageous these two will get in their push and pull in this sexy hot affair that may include a few real romantic feelings.I think Ari will learn that even though he owns Val, Saint Valentine will end up owning him. I loved the club setting with the anything goes atmosphere, the camaraderie of the employees and Val’s transformation into Saint Valentine while still being the good girl at heart whose just an overworked college student taking care of her grandma.Terrific writing in this story about a couple that will get your juices flowing with their sexy, volatile relationship that is teetering on the brink of either destruction or magnificent. Can’t wait to find out which. It will be hot either way! I just wish the cover male model matched Ari’s description. Love hunky blondes with blue eyes!
necessity!), I have been writing since … forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball – I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I’m clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.
do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there’s your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair – both a curse and a blessing – and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can’t understand me.
