MY REVIEW:

Great second story in the series with an element based on a real tragedy. And what a tragedy it is for Aleta, but she’s a survivor and not who you would think she would be based on her background. I love her spunk and readiness for a little adventure and passion. And she finds both in her angel, Jack, the trooper who’s on the job to find the culprits that changed her life. Lots of sizzle between these two. Like the first story this is a insta in the romance department and I am all for the lust part but could have waited on the love. I really like the mystery and suspense of the story with the drug baddies, a unique assassin and a young girl. And the danger that followed Aleta is suspenseful but she has the hunky Jack to protect her. What a terrific hero! This is a quick easy read that’s well written with wonderful characters. Great secondary characters in law enforcement. I look forward to the next story.
