MY REVIEW:

Fabulous ending to this trio of characters that I’m so going to miss. I hope we see them in future books because I think there’s more to their story. Or at least I want more. This didn’t have a lot of the mafia brutality that usually comes with these stories but focuses on the relationship between three characters that are so compelling on their on, but together? Wow! Just spectacular. Corrado’s pride is so powerful along with his masculine beauty and his revelation at the end was terrific. No less powerful or beautiful is Alessio who is the opposite of Corrado in ever way except the important ones. We get to see a side of him that is eye opening. After Corrado’s betrayal at the end of the first story the relationship between these two men was definitely going to change, if it survived, with Ginny in the middle. But Alessio has to know, why her? And who knew? An asshole like Alessio had a sweet side. Oh sure, there were times when he was softer with Corrado but the sweetest he showed Ginny was swoon worthy. It took awhile but smart, sweet Ginny won him over. I loved the connection they built on a cerebral level through their love of books and that the physical came later. And when it came the physical was hot! Add Corrado to the mix and it was panty melting! The love between these three strong, gorgeous people was just spectacular. This fantastic author gave us a love story that is taboo in this mafia world with characters that are wonderfully different and perfect together in their love and care for each other. There’s a great balance between the light of Ginny and what she adds to this relationship between two deadly League assassins that walk on the dark side. I love this author’s superb storytelling in this dangerous Guzzi world that always includes so much love and family. I can’t wait for the rest of the Guzzi Legacy stories. That Bene is something! But it looks like Corrado’s twin, Chris, is up next. I hope we get to see more of Ginny’s sisters in the future. Love, love, love this series.
