MY REVIEW:
Madness and mayhem reigns! This picks up where the last story ended with Alyx devastated by Granite decision and its aftermath. Any progress in their relationship screeches to a halt with Alyx’s fury. I like her growth at the end of the last story but she moves to the woe is me attitude as she turns her back on Granite. She’s in a tough place and there’s no going back to life as it was. She still in the clutches of her kidnapper but at least she’s finally away from her horrible mother and she did send that silent plea to Granite. Granite has to live with his decision and keep his club together to fight another day. His obsession with Alyx continues and he’s not giving up on their relationship. Talk about possessiveness and jealousy that lives in this dominant alpha! The push pull of their relationship is extreme and lusty at times with hot chemistry. Lots of twists and turns in the story as the Americans Kings fight their enemies. Speaking of enemies; what a great villain Slither is! One you love to hate. This is what a MC story should be with bloody battles and hardened men. The romance between Alyx and Granite is dark and not for the faint of heart. Will these two ever get to a good place? So much hurt and dark deeds to overcome. Great writing that keep me turning the pages with some cringe worthy moments in this enthralling story with tough men and women. The MC’s problems are not over and the ending sets up for the continuation of the Americans Kings. I’m looking forward to the next stories especially the ones featuring Ink and Onyx.
