MY REVIEW:
Wow! This started off hot and hooked me into what looked like a dynamic storyline between two sizzling characters. I’m going to mention that book cover. WTF…the hero is an olive-skinned hottie with black hair and eyes in a dark and twisty story. What’s with the blue and tighty whities? I doubt Logan ever wore those undies. Logan is a supremely sexy alpha that knocked my panties off, for the most part. At times his internal dialogue was over the top and not very manly. Ellie was a strong woman that seemly overcame a horrible past and then she turned into a fading damsel in need of rescuing. I’m all for a hot hero coming to the rescue and these hunky Mitchell brothers fit the bill but they were very mysterious. I did like that Ellie stood up to Logan for the most part. There was a lot of telling rather than doing which is not my favorite and I started to skim over the repetition. I keep reading because of the tease of Logan’s big secret that would destroy his relationship with Ellie. Oh boy, what a secret it was and that OMG cliffhanger! I don’t know how Logan will overcome his HUGE disastrous reveal. My jaw dropped! I sort of figured it out but not to that extreme. I usually loved this author’s stories but this one left me wanting but that ending has me salivating for the next story. And the tease of Shadow’s impending return to torture Ellie. Good times!
