MY REVIEW:

Fun, fun, fun! Mad cap capers, wonderful characters, belly laughs and so many giggles! I’m still giggling every time I think about this fantastic rom com. It’s one of the best I’ve read. Lots of silliness and crazy adventure as con man turned kidnapper, the delicious Luca, is forced into grabbing the ultra-sheltered, innocent Frannie to save his sister and niece from the clutches of Mr. Death. Luca is a hero right out of one of the naughty romance novels Frannie is hooked on and Frannie is a little kooky with her own brand of crazy smarts and resourcefulness. These two are a match deluxe as they have the evil Rossi mafia at their backs as they run across the country to SoCal and into the unknown of the mysterious Mr. Death whose is holding Luca’s family as insurance to get his hands on Frannie. When the tug-of-war between Rossi and Mr. Death heats up to get Frannie, the adventure and danger ramps up as our couple cons their way in and out of trouble. Hilarious trouble and loads of fun which includes Frannie’s chihuahua, Chandler Bing. As the three become a team, Luca realizes he can’t give Frannie to Mr. Death and the possible danger waiting in SoCal. He is mesmerized by the unusual girl and falls under her spell and beauty. The romance that blossoms between these two is just fabulous and the panty-melting Luca is swoon worthy with his handling of the innocent Frannie. He gives her something right out of those bodice-ripper romance novels she loves. As they run from the baddies and the bullets are flying Luca attempts to give Frannie all her bucket list wants in any form he can as they travel through the States. This read was so much fun (yeah, I’m repeating myself) and goofy and crazy good. You won’t find a super tight plot or even a lot of believability but there are loads of absurdly appealing characters including the geriatric twin sisters with their hair pulling and slapping, Mr. Death’s goats, sister Lindsay and cute niece Cala. And what’s going on between Daddy Death and Linz? I can’t wait for their story! The last chapter from Chandler POV was just beyond hilarious! I love both of these authors together and individually but this was such a terrific surprise from these two. I want more of this madcap adventure, heart-throbbing romance and divine characters. Simply fabulous!
