Well, dang! Shark bite! After the first story I was all in for this one and it was enjoyable but it was up and down and running in circles for me. I was on the edge of my seat with the push/pull of the romance and the mysteries and secrets of Sebastianās past. The Shark dominance continues with the smoking hot Sebastian and the innocent Abbigail moving full steam ahead with their romance, not without a few bumps along the way. The love fest between the older, experienced Bas as he teaches the young, innocent Abbi the delicious pleasure/pain of his particular brand of sensual passion and decadent desire is heart throbbing. Ooh, he’s got a dirty mouth with panty-melting words and salacious actions and Abbi loves every minute of it. These two take steam to a whole other level! The emotions flow and the feelings are palatable as Abbi and Bas navigate the intricacies of a real relationship for the first time in the midst of secrets and danger and intrigue. Sometimes it’s so heartfelt and sometimes it’s painful as the bossy Bas turns controlling in an effort to keep Abbi safe and the headstrong Abbi rebels. There were a lot of moving parts and sometimes the story seemed convoluted or to obvious which was confusing as well as some behaviors that seemed out of character. But the romance was delicious and we find out what’s up with Sebastianās nemesis but there’s more going with that guy as he causes trouble between the lovebirds. The ending was another drop the mike moment and now I’m jonesing for the next part. The writing was terrific and all in all the story was entertaining with fabulous characters, main and secondary.
