MY REVIEW:
Spine tingling hotness as the King of Columbia takes a young virgin as payment for a debt. His plaything, Sofía is a fabulous heroine and light to the dark that is the devil, Victor. And what a sizzling antihero he is. Devastatingly cruel with a penance for bloody brutality until the sweet innocence of Sofía flips his heart. But Sofía has secrets that ultimately hurt their budding relationship and cause a world of pain to come her way as Victor’s rival comes calling to reveal her secrets. This is trademark Dani René with titillating characters, bloody retribution and a dark, sexy romance. There are some fairly gruesome scenes with torture, abuse and murder. The romance between Victor and Sofía is both light and dark as she brings out the heart in Victor that was shredded years ago and Victor turns the young girl into a woman of strength. Javier as Victor’s right hand man is a terrific character and the ending seemed to setup his story next in this world of violence and Columbia drug trade. Long live the King and has new Queen!
