Loyalty is the one thing Grayson Richard grew up understanding completely. His belief in loyalty above all else led to him becoming a New Orleans Joker, and finally finding the family he had always been lacking. But loyalty had also given him many sleepless nights. With his uncle imprisoned for a crime Gray knew his mentor Tucker committed, Grayson will be left with two choices, blood or loyalty.

MY REVIEW:
A terrific addition to this MC series that offers something a little different. A group of rowdy cajuns and their unique lifestyle is always a treat. But there’s not much going on in the swamp in this story. It focuses on Grayson’s backstory and history with his mentor Tucker. Gray needed someone when he was young and Tucker stepped up to teach the kid about motorcycles and life. That life took a turn when Gray’s uncle takes the fall and Tucker comes out on the good side even when he’s the bad guy. It’s a double edged sword for Gray. He knows Tuck is a bad guy but he was always good to him. Where does loyalty lie? On the right side with Gray. The romance between Gray and Poppy is on again, off again as the two struggle to be together. When Gray ends up in Cali to ask Tuck to help with his uncle he takes the time to see Poppy and there’s still that explosive heat between the two. Sizzling sexy times! But can Gray convince Poppy to give them a chance? She not sure she can give up her Cali life to go back to the swamp and all the bad memories. When Tuck has a plan that involves the Jokers the club heads to Cali to help. There’s some action and danger but not enough for me plus I want more of the club and those sexy brothers. This is a quick, easy read that focuses on the steamy romance between Gray and Poppy. I was glad Gray and Chance worked on their differences. Love the brothers and look forward to the next installment.
