The dance is over.
The battle begins.
Broken hearts never heal quite right. Especially when theyβve been ripped to pieces, torn to shreds. She wasnβt supposed to fall in love with him. Sheβd promised she wouldnβt. Stella had known the rules when this began.
I will never love you.
He lied, because his world had been nothing but pain and hatred. Because he was a powerful man and love left you weak and powerless. He had loved her. The dark, ugly twisted parts of him had loved her. His love was torture. It was addictive. It was oxygen.
But it wasnβt enough.
His life has been war. But heβd never fought for anyone. Until her.
He knew that he was cursing her. Sentencing her to a life that she didnβt deserve. That would ruin her. But he had no other choice. Heβd fought to be a good man, to let her live without him. But he couldnβt live without her. No more than he could inhale without oxygen.
He would fight for her. To get her back. Till death.
He wasnβt a good man.
He was the villain.
One who needed her. That would stop at nothing to get her back.
He would prove to her that even his wretched villainous heart could love her.
Anne Malcom has been an avid reader since before she can remember, her mother responsible for her book addiction. It started with magical journeys into the world of Hogwarts and Middle Earth, then as she grew up her reading tastes grew with her. Her obsession with books and romance novels in particular gave Anne the opportunity to find another passion, writing. Finding writing about alpha males and happily ever afters more fun than reading about them, Anne is not about to stop any time soon.

MY REVIEW:
Emotional, angsty and full of danger! Picking up a few months after the explosive ending of Stella and Jay’s romance in the first book, their on a path to reconciliation. The fabulous Wren is the catalyst to the reunion when Jay goes to New Zealand to take back his woman. We see a few cracks in Jay’s armor when he waits to see if Stella will come back to him. It’s emotional drama as Stella lays out her demands. Yeah, it’s almost too much dramatic for me when Stella wanted peel the skin from her bones just so she could let him inside her. I was thrown out of the scene thinking if there was any spot on the body where skin was directly on bone. Nope, I don’t think so. Anyway, loads of OTT emotion as they make their way back to each other. Again, one of the best parts of the story is Stella and her wonderful girlfriends. And a surprise for Wren and Karson. I love them and I am jonesing for their story. I hope itβs to come even with all the nuggets about them in this story. Stella and Jay have a few hiccups and then just when things are on track the deadly Russian Mob ramps up the danger. Jayβs life is so violent as the boss of the seedy underworld of L.A. Itβs a fast race to end the enemies and get to a safer place for everyone. This was a good follow up to the first book with a group of fabulous women, a couple of hot alpha males and a story full of steamy sex, dangerous enemies and a future full of love.
