Itβs a vicious cycle.
Stop, start. Stop, start.
We move when the hunt has ended in one place, only to begin again.
It has nothing to do with the warmth of spring and summer or the chill of autumn and winter. Our seasons are measured by something else entirely. And while I sometimes wonder if heβll ever tire of his god games, I also know that he enjoys it far too much to ever stop.
Hunger is never an issue for us, and because of that, what we are isnβt apparent. I prefer animals, and so does he in a roundabout way. Itβs how he sees humansβas animals that lack the common instinct to survive when presented with something beautiful.
As we leave our current home for the next, I wonder what time has in store for us. Whatever it may be, as long as weβre by each otherβs sides, nothing else will matter.
Weβve already gone to the end.
Now itβs time for the cycle to repeat itself.

MY REVIEW:
Deadly creatures! This started out exciting and mysterious with the centuries old Jakobe meeting his forever person and making sure Eliseo never leaves him. Jakobe is a bossy alpha and Eliseo is a sweetheart. Such a pair! Itβs all mystery as Jakobe and Eliseo settle into a new town for the season and itβs all hot love between the two. Steamy, violent, sexy love. Itβs a little frustrating when the communication doesnβt happen. Itβs all do as I say with Jakobe which leaves Eliseo as frustrated as I am. I loved the build as the facts are revealed about these two and their lives. Things goes awry when Eliseo ventures into a forbidden place and makes a new friend. Blue and her living arrangement was an interesting development until a bigger plot is revealed. Thatβs were it falls off for me. I was expecting a big battle when Jakobe calls for help and old associates show up. No much of a battle and so much left with no explanation. What did Blue do what she did and what was that instrument of destruction? I guess itβs left for the next story but this one sort of fizzled for me. A bit of a disappointment with the terrific buildup. Anyhoo. This is a quick, exciting read with a bit of a letdown ending for me. I will continue with the series to see what happens to the lovers and new friend.
