MY REVIEW:
A masterpiece of chilling suspense and heat-me-all-the-way-through romance! I love this author with her intensely emotional storytelling and absolutely delicious characters. Her heroines are always fierce, a little broken with a soft center and this one is divine. Bianca has a special fierceness as she protects her brother, and battles with the Morelli Monster. She also has a hidden filthy center which calls to her Monster. Talk about a divine villain. Tiernan is the absolute best in the worse ways! With the peeks of him in other Midnight Dynasty stories I didn’t know if he could be redeemed. He was all monster in those stories. A true villain. Well, we see the real Tiernan in this story and he’s not at all what he seemed. He’s still a brutal beast and a nasty monster most of the time but he has his tragic reasons. His horrible father is at the center. And when Tiernan takes in the bastard Constantine orphans with plans to use them we see the lengths will go to to best his father. It’s a dastardly agenda that ends with a few twists and heart stopping surprises as the suspense is turned up and leaves Tiernan in danger and Bianca destroyed. The romance is so hot when Bianca pushes the monster and he ups the game and makes her his “little thing” in every way. I love the push/pull between the two and the tingling emotion that colors their encounters. That ending was a mind twister. Who was with Caroline? I love this anthology. The Constantine/Morelli feud is cutthroat and deadly and this story showcases how destructive it is. This is a fabulous start to this steamy romance series and I can’t wait for the next installment. A must read!
