Lawrence Astor is stoic. Heโs the level-headed one of his two siblings. Never one to overreact or cause a scene. Except, heโs keeping a massive secret from his entire family, and he has been for over five years.
Heโs had enough of hiding, of his life being in limbo. Everyone in his family is finally finding their place and happiness, except him. Theyโre starting families and building their lives. Lawrence is still only seeing his own wife on occasion.
She has been keeping a secret, sneaking away from her home one weekend every three months to spend a total of forty-eight hours with her husband.
Rory Astor is living on borrowed time. She stays away from her own husband in an effort to save him.
Can they salvage their relationship and live happily ever after, or are they doomed to be separated forever?
MY REVIEW:
Wow! This was a doozy and thatโs saying something with Lawrenceโs mother. Well, she might be a little crazier than our heroineโs father. Yup, Rory has a horrible father and a really tragic upbringing. Thereโs tons of mystery at the beginning with hand wringing and secrets with Rory and Lawryโs marriage in a rocky place. That secret marriage that the family doesnโt know about is about to go viral. I love Lawryโs father and siblings. Their closeness makes up for his nasty mother and it’s wonderful when they rally around Lawry and his wife. When the secret of Roryโs family comes out it rivals the messiness of Lawryโs but thereโs more to come when Roryโs dad and his minions turn deadly and reek havoc. Lawry and his family and friends take on the evil and reveal all the shocking secrets. What a mind blowing roller coaster! I love the sweet, innocent Rory and her love for Lawrence is wonderful. Of course, the Astor brainiac is fabulous and sexy. I liked this series and this story is a fitting end for this fabulous family. Loved the epilogue!
