MY REVIEW:
Spectacular! I love romance suspense stories and this one is enthralling, heart-pounding, and panty-melting wonderful. The mix of romance and suspense is just right as new FBI agent, JJ is paired with the gruff veteran, O’Brien. She has a beautiful innocence along with her intelligence that pushes his protective instincts to the max. JJ tries to ignore her budding feelings for the fierce undercover agent but he’s too mesmerizing to deny. His dominance and dangerous demeanor is so sexy and perfect for his job when he goes undercover to get to the top of the Albanian crime organization. His feelings for her grow as she becomes his lifeline as his handler for the latest job. There is a slow burn to their attraction that had my heart pounding with every interaction. So sexy! And then the suspense and danger ramps up the deeper O’Brien goes to catch the criminals. But things don’t goes a planned when tragedy strikes and the two are blindsided. Be warned, there are some hard to stomach parts of the story with a gut wrenching realism that’s heartbreaking. This was a emotional roller coaster of a story that captured my attention right from the start. It’s one of the best from this talented author. A thrill of minute with the intense action and suspense and heart melting romance as JJ and O’Brien find a work rhythm and try to keep their relationship professional. It’s deadly action-packed drama as JJ keeps O’Brien from falling under the thrall of the criminals and he protects her at all costs. I absolutely love it. A must read!
