Danger, action, adventure, mystery, lies, and sexy romance! This read had it all plus more in one long story with outstanding characters. It begins with a young girl thrown into a new life where she meets her savior. And, oh boy does he do some saving even if he is from an enemy family. Amore’s life is turn upside down by tragedy and she lands in a mafia world with long-held feuds, enemy families, bloody action and old world customs. But she has one foot in the mafia world and the other in the world of high fashion as the heiress to an empire. I loved Amore with her sweet ways, big heart, steely spine and fierce love. She’s strong, smart and wants it all. The author did go all out with her accomplishments and dream life. The girl had it all including the hot Don panting after her. Now for her savior, the swoon-worthy Santino, he’s a dream hero. Tall, dark and handsome with a ruthless nature and bloody hands. He’s a brute with only a soft spot for Amore. I loved him! There’s a delicious age-gap romance between Santi and Amore that was written in the stars from the first look between the two. She just had to grow up and work around the Romeo/Juliet dilemma of feuding families. There was a lot of angst along the way and too much miscommunication for me. But there was tons of sex, lots of SEX, once they got going until the shoe dropped on their relationship. And there was a lack of communication which for the most part I didn’t understand. There’s a bit of repetition in the story and parts were drawn out to the point I was skimming toward the end. There are a couple of mysteries along with intrigue and double dealings that erupted into bloody battles. I loved the action that showed off Santi’s dark side and Amore’s new set of skills. Some of the mystery just seemed to suddenly be known to characters without any revealing or surprise. A little different but I went with it. I really liked this group of mafia men from both families along with a couple of mysterious cartel allies. I hope we get more stories from these hot bad boys. This was a thrill ride of intense emotions, sexy romance and brutal mob action that had me flipping the pages all the way to the terrific ending. Loved it!
