It was just another day in the life of being a small town cop.
I’m a protector at heart, and always have been.
Which is why I stepped up immediately after finding out I had a kid.
Well…to be honest, I didn’t believe it at first.
I actually thought it was a prank when the little girl was brought into the station.
It took a paternity test for me to really feel the gravity of the situation.
Fine, I didn’t handle it well at all.
But when I had proof Emily was really mine, nothing would stand in the way of me protecting her.
I may have gone a little overboard.
At least, that’s what my sexy neighbor thinks.
But what does she know? She let my kid drink out of a garden hose!
Sure, I did it as a kid, but I’m bald now. What if drinking out of a hose at such a young age ruined my chances of having a decent head of hair?
Am I really supposed to allow my child to be put in danger like that?
But the more I hang around with Katka, the harder I find it to ignore the logic in what she’s saying.
Maybe it’s the late night dancing she performs for me.
Or her crazy family that thinks I’m not good enough.
Whatever it is about her, it drives me to the edge.
All I think about is her.
All I want is her.
But she doesn’t want a kid.
Despite the passion building between us, I’m not the man she’s looking for.
I’ll just have to find a way to prove I’m exactly what she needs.





 




I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

What a terrific ending to this wildly entertaining series full of crazy, lovable characters. This story is packed full of old favorites with crazy banter, fun pranks, fabulous friendship, and a sexy romance between hunky cop Lucas and his neighbor Katka. She’s one of the sisters from that big, crazy Slovak family that we met a couple of stories ago in Elle and Jake story. Talk about insanity and bazaar behavior venturing on the illegal side with the hints of Czech mafia and gangs with Katka’s dangerous brothers. I hope we get a new series with that intriguing family. Poor Lucas doesn’t know what he’s in for when he wants to date his sexy neighbor. He’s got a lot on his plate with his surprise daughter and her needs that turn him into helicopter dad. It’s just too funny when he overdoes everything all to keep cute little Emily safe. He gets it mostly right if he could only turn kid-resistant Katka around to his way of thinking. Katka is a hoot as the tough as nails mechanic shooting down her family’s attempts to marry her off and trying to avoid her feelings for the single dad. Lucas is such a good guy, a real hero. Swoon! What gal could resist? There are so many Small Town moments in the story that are hilarious fun with belly laughs galore when several friends jump in to help the romance between Lucas and Katka. And of course, there are the epic poker nights whether in someone’s house or the infamous town event. The last one really is epic with the winner of the naughty calendar being revealed and Lucas on the floor. Good times! I’m going to miss this wonderful cast of characters and the sensational family and friends atmosphere of the series. This is a fitting send off for a fantastic series. Absolutely terrific!

I love books! I have been reading for as long as I can remember. I was the kid with the flashlight under the covers reading until the wee hours. Books were my refuge. I was delighted to discover tree climbing. I would take a book and climb to the top of a Mimosa tree and read for hours...and of course ignore my mother calling for me to do chores. I was committed to reading all of the Nancy Drew stories. Ned was my first book boyfriend. When I was in my early teens I discovered Harlequin romances. I feel in love and it changed my life. I was in love with Love πŸ’• That’s something for a girl who hadn’t been kissed yet. When I read β€œhe thrust his throbbing member into her womanhood” I was lost to discovering more about this particular brand of romance. But I don’t just enjoy romance reads. My father-in-law introduced me to the high fantasy genre and I loved it. When I bought my first Nook the world of books really took me by surprise. I was enthralled with all the available genres and to my delight I discovered erotica. In most cases, I was with family on visits to bookstores and you don’t peruse those even if they carried them. Oh the shame of it! ;) Thanks to Nancy Drew I still enjoy mysteries along with romance, fantasy, erotica, paranormal, steampunk, thrillers, and well, most anything except a horror of a horror. My favorite might be romance suspense but it’s hard for me to pick just one. I had a serious health issue a few years ago and was forced to quite working after building a career I could be proud of. It was devastating and depressing. I lost myself in books and now spend my days (and nights) reading. I am so appreciative of authors and the wonderful storytelling I’ve found in books. It takes me away from my troubles and introduces me into a world like no other. I love books!
