MY REVIEW:

I absolutely love this series and I’m crying it’s over. I hope Keri changes her mind and we get more stories from this dark, brutal, memorizing world she created. I usually speed through a book but I read this slowly to savor the end of a series that truly outstanding. This story was a little different from the others. The Alpha was a kinder, gentler beast that was thoughtful in his treatment of women. That being said Titus was still a fabulously savage beast. Since Thalia was a new character there was a lot of character building for her and she is a terrific heroine with her sass and spunk. The romance was a slow build that let love grow and the sexy times were delayed. Didn’t really get that in some regards but Titus and Thalia are fabulous. This kinda rocked along and I thought we wouldn’t get that harsh, cringeworthy brutality of the other stories. Boy was I wrong. It was later in the story but when it happened it was so heartbreaking and appalling and pure torture as a reader that fell in love with these characters. The epilogues are fantastic but in my mind Cadmus is still with us. I really loved Atticus with his snark and humor. I so wanted him to get a story. I think you could read this one as a standalone but you would miss out on tons of backstory. I love this author’s storytelling and wonderful characters and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. Whatever it is I’m in.
