You Loved Me Once by Corinne Michaels is now live!

From New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels comes a heartbreakingly beautiful standalone story about letting love in.

I’m losing myself trying to save everyone else…

As a doctor, I walk a dangerously delicate balance of being compassionate but not overly invested. The same is true in my personal life–love is a luxury I can’t afford.

It isn’t until Dr. Westin Grant breaks down all my walls and offers me a future, I find myself wondering if I’m brave enough to risk my heart.

When who I was and who I’ve tried to become collide during my clinical trial, the fate of one patient changes everything.

In a single moment, everything I’ve worked for is jeopardized. My integrity, my career, and even my relationship with Westin.

He loved me once, I just hope he can love me always …

MY REVIEW:

So emotional! This story would cause anyone to shed a few tears. A backdrop of cancer, sick patients and the possibility of a life altering treatment. We have brave doctors in impossible situations and patients to root for. I usually love this author and her characters. Unfortunately I didn’t love the heroine, Ren. She acted years younger than her age and suffered no real consequences from her actions. Bad actions that wouldn’t fly in the medical world. Westin is a great guy that definitely deserved better than what Ren gave him. And then the old boyfriend appears and I could see that drama coming from a mile away. I guess this story just wasn’t for me. It was too angsty and dramatic plus the medical aspects didn’t ring true to me. The ending wrapped up in a nice way and I was happy that Wes was in a good place. I know that I’m in the minority with my opinion and others will love that push pull of old love, new love and the anguish of cancer.
