Things I Wanted To Say (But Never Did) by Monica Murphy is now live! + My Review

Things I Wanted To Say (But Never Did) by Monica Murphy is now live!

Whit Lancaster burst into my life like a storm. Dark and thunderous, furious and fierce. Cold, heartless and devastatingly beautiful, like the statues in our prep school gardens. The school with his family name on the sign. He can do no wrong here. This is his domain.

He’s a menace on campus. Adored and feared. Hated and respected. His taunting words carve into my skin, shredding me to ribbons. Yet his intense gaze scorches my blood, fills me with a longing I don’t understand.

When I stumble upon him one night alone, I find him broken. Bleeding. My instincts scream to leave and let him suffer, but I can’t. I sneak him into my room. Clean him up. Fall for his lies. Let him possess every single part of me until I’m the one left a gasping, broken mess.

When he leaves me alone in the dead of night, he takes my journal with him.

Now he knows all my secrets. My hate. My truth. And he promises to use my words against me. I’ll be ruined if my darkest secret gets out.

That’s when I strike a bargain with the devil.

I’ll let Whit Lancaster ruin me behind closed doors instead.

WOW! I was not expecting this, especially from this author but it was fabulous. Dark, delicious, decadent and disturbing at times. This story is so lush. Lush characters, lush settings, lush scenes and lush sex. Lots and lots of hot, aching, deviant sex. And I love it. After that intriguing prologue I was all in. Teens, Summer and Whit, are incredible characters thrown together in the elite private boarding school setting after a lurid scandal blows up both of their lives. That sets the scene for intense bullying when the beautiful boy and king of the school Whit takes revenge on Summer. She’s there by a favor called in and she doesn’t fit among all the ridiculously wealthy brats. But she helpless in resisting the cruel boy when he learns her secrets and bullies her into a sexual relationship. Some times the behavior seemed a little mature for seventeen year olds but it made a compelling story. This author really brought the heat in this one. I was melting! Pages and pages of sizzling passion and brutal words as Whit controlled Summer for his sexual pleasure, not that she was complaining. She has a torturous past full pain and despair with tragic consequences then she lands in another tenuous situation where she’s used and betrayed. But she’s a marvel of strength and perseverance with Whit being her only weakness. I loved her especially when she turned things around on Whit and realized her power. What a character he is. The author did a fantastic job with this guy. He’s cruel and dark and so yummy even when he’s behaving badly. Pure sexual napalm! I was enthralled with this couple and their evolving relationship. The bullying was almost too much at one point but I pushed through and I was so glad. I loved the progression of their relationship as he slowly softened toward Summer and learned to love. There are several interesting secondary characters most notably is Whit’s sister Silvie. I hope she gets a story. I love this darker theme from this outstanding author. She always brings the heart melting romance and there’s plenty of that towards the end but most of the melting was the panty variety. This was smoking! I’m so glad that Whit spoke her and she told his story. I LOVE that this is a complete story with no cliffhangers, continuations or installments. Just one long, beautiful, sexy story. I love the dark and this is lights out!
