MY REVIEW:
Another hot romance in this terrific series! I love these Ashford siblings and their love stories with a bit of mystery and suspense. The black sheep of the family is back. Kai is such an intriguing character with his tragic childhood and the devastating secret that caused so much harm. I loved this bad boy with his air of danger, bad habits and dirty mouth. Heβs hot! And back in Rosavale to help his siblings eliminate an enemy thatβs been threatening them. I was a little disappointed that the danger and suspense sort of fizzled out. I loved that continuing storyline in these stories. But it ended without any real fanfare and no replacement so this might be the end of the series even though the twins are still single. With their sharing it would be an interesting story and thereβs a hint at the end, so maybe weβll get their story. This romance was fabulous between the bad boy and the girl thatβs been in love with him since high school. Shayleigh is a fabulous heroine. Even with her body image issues sheβs a strong, resilient woman with a secret that affects no only her teen son but Kai. The suspense of the paternity reveal was a killer and when it finally come out the fallout was devastating. Teen William was another terrific character in the story. Kai chase of Shay was sexy and sweet even when she resisted his advances. Ooh, heβs a dirty boy with a hot mouth and hard body. Shay wasnβt getting away from him. Their chemistry was steamy! The Ashford family atmosphere with the siblings and their spouses and children is a lovely element of the story. Some of the sentence structure and wording was a little off at times. I wonder, not for the first time, if English is not this authorβs first language. I hope this isnβt the end of this series. I really like this authorβs storytelling and characters and look forward to more from her. This could be read as a standalone but you would miss out on the Ashford history and the wonderful siblingsβ romances. Loved this one. Bad boys rule!
