Blind Date by Monica Murphy is now live!! + My Review

Blind Date by Monica Murphy is now live!

Amelia Lee is in desperate need of a change.

Finally free from her controlling ex-boyfriend, she’s not looking to date someone new, even though all of her friends are encouraging her to do exactly that. One in particular believes she’s found the perfect guy for Amelia. So she sets her up on a blind date.

At a wedding.

Amelia has no idea the guy she bumped into at her friend’s Christmas tree farm is the same one she’s been set up with at a wedding reception. Isaac Jones is a nice guy. A good looking guy. A much younger guy. No way could they be compatible – they have nothing in common.

The more time Amelia spends with Isaac though, the more she realizes he just might be perfect for her. He makes her laugh. He’s a complete gentleman. And they’re definitely compatible between the sheets…

But is he only the rebound guy? Or can they actually make this newfound romance work?

It’s all about the holidays and the moods of the season, happy and grouchy. Amelia is the gal pal that’s been with a boyfriend until recently. That relationship kept her away from the terrific group of girlfriends and not because she wanted it that way. Now that she’s cut loose her old baggage she’s not sure of her next step. She’s in quite the mood with the Christmas rush at her family business and she’s not feeling any holiday spirit. Until the sort of but not really blind date to her friend’s wedding. It’s a delightful coincidence that her flirty table mate is also the supposed blind date. He’s the young hottie that works at the tree farm with the groom. Issac is a laidback sweetie with a huge crush on Amelia right from the start. This is an easy read with an easy romance. I love this group of girlfriends and if I wasn’t familiar with the series I don’t know if I would have been keen on this story. Amelia and Issac’s romance was a little awkward at times and there was no drama or conflict at all. They fell into an easy romance without the usual sizzle and pop of the others in this fabulous series. I was a tad disappointed but it was still a good read. I think this is the last of the girlfriends unless there’s a new addition which could happen with Amelia’s brother’s girlfriend that has a tie to the group. I guess we’ll see if there are more stories in this heart warming series with gal pals that are supportive and passionate and sweet. Outstanding friendship and girl power!
