MY REVIEW:
Exciting ending to another fabulous Midnight Dynasty romance from an outstanding author that always delivers with a darker than dark love story. This one is not only dark but dangerous and full of hot romance as Daphne tries to find a way back to Emerson without a death on her hands. The dance between Emerson and Daph’s brother Leo is fantastic. Each fighting for Daphne with Leo in full beast mode and Emerson trying to stay alive. I loved their showdown but it’s the magnificent Daphne that really comes through. There’s a lot of Emerson in his head in this story which was a little drawn out for me. I applaud this author for writing such a complex hero and making him relatable. Plus he’s a darkly delicious hunk with an interesting headspace. I loved Emerson’s brothers and can’t wait for their stories. And I loved the Morelli family as they popped up throughout the story, especially the women. I wasn’t too sure about the softer side of the dastardly Bryant, Daphne’s father but there it was. I’ll be interested to see how he fairs in future Midnight Dynasty stories. The danger that occurred late in the story wasn’t much of a surprise but the challenge to Emerson was thrilling as he overcame his demons to save his love. This author has a talent for writing an intense, moody, heart pounding romance story with fabulous characters and this one is exceptional with a heart melting ending. Loved it!
