MY REVIEW:
What a terrific continuation of this intriguing Hill family series full of drama, family love, revenge, and sexy romance. Gabriel is an intensely complicated character with lots of layers and emotional trauma with a deadly revenge plot in motion. My heart broke for him when the details were revealed. What I loved was his resilience and get it done at any cost attitude. And it cost him a lot but he’s so strong and charming and sexy. When he turned on the sex appeal I melted. And when he turned all that charm on Elise she melted. This has a bullying element with Gabriel’s lust/hate for Elise. How could he? Sweet, soft Elise is fabulous but he needs her for his plan. I loved her with all her independence and business acumen and sweet disposition. I didn’t really understand her guilt when it was all her horrible father fault. She had a terrible childhood and she’s struggled to break away from her family and the evils of the Consortium. When Gabriel forces her to join his plan to take down the Consortium it turns suspenseful when the plan is put in place. I loved the Hill family moments with all the siblings along with Charlotte and Elise. The ending was a bit of a shocker with Elise heartbroken and Gabriel in a dangerous place. I can’t wait for the next installment. Loved it!
