RELEASE BLITZ: Be With Me by Samantha Young!! + My Review

A best friends to lovers story set against the atmospheric backdrop of the Scottish Highlands.

Be With Me by Samantha Young is now live!

It was the friends-with-benefits proposition he never saw coming…

While Arran Adair might have followed the call of wanderlust in his younger years, it isn’t the reason he stayed away from Ardnoch. Home now, desperate to put the sins of his past behind him, and rebuild his life in the Scottish Highlands, Arran could never have predicted Eredine Willows. The Ardnoch Estate Pilates instructor is a complicated mystery and one Arran can’t help but want to solve.

Eredine has spent the last eight years hiding in Scotland and building walls between her and the people she cares about. Arran is the first Adair who doesn’t treat her as if she’s fragile and demands a genuine friendship. Yet, the attraction sizzling between them is undeniable. So when she realizes she trusts him, Eredine surprises them both by offering Arran one night of no-strings passion.

Arran knows one night will inevitably lead to a desire for more and he’s willing to stay by Eredine’s side for as long as it takes to convince her there’s something real between them. However, just when Arran thinks they might build a future together, Eredine’s past returns to stalk her. And Arran won’t just have to battle her demons to keep them together. He’ll need to battle his own.

Apple Books:

I love this series with the fabulous Adair siblings, the gorgeous Scottish setting, and the wonderful family and friends atmosphere. This story features the globetrotting youngest brother Arran and family friend Eredine. There were a few glimpses of Arran in previous stories and the hint of some traumatic happening to the young man but not a lot of details. There was more about Eredine and the bits and pieces of a real tragedy that has her in hiding. Plus she’s besties with sister Arro, was on the wrong side of danger in the last story and works at the castle, so we know quite a bit about Ery. I loved her and couldn’t wait to find out her story. I thought she would be paired with brother Brogan but it’s Arran instead. I do like the pairing and they are a good fit. Just what the fearful beauty needed to get her back to living instead of hiding. I liked how their romance progressed and Arran broke down her walls and broke her dry spell. Arran past sadness is revealed fairly quickly and didn’t seem that major to me. Just a little ding to his mental state. When we finally get to the horrors of Ery past it was a little anticlimactic for me. I thought there would be more to it with all the buildup. Still horrible but I was glad she could move past it with the help of Arran. There was some danger and suspense but nothing like the previous stories and it was a bit of a letdown. Still a terrific addition to this series and I loved it, flaws and all. I especially loved the bits with Brodan and the glimpses of things to come with his story. I’m already smitten with the redhead from his past and can’t wait for the next installment. Any day with the Adairs is a great day. Worth the read!
