My Review:
Sizzling! This author know how to bring the sizzle and suspense to a mafia forced marriage romance. There’s a delicious alpha-hole hero, a beautiful young heroine, vicious enemies, an evil rival family, questionable relatives, and a sweetly sexy romance. Both Santos and Magdalena have painful pasts that keep on giving as they navigate a new marriage. Instead of a brutish husband Maddy lucked out in the protective way Santos treats her. He leaves his angry beast for his enemies and himself. I liked that most of the mystery reveals weren’t all dumped at the end but were fairly quickly revealed with just a few left for the next book. Speaking of the next, I can’t wait to find out who the bad guy was in the cliffhanger. And what a cliffhanger! A couple of favorites are in peril with that heart stopping ending. I really like this author’s storytelling that quickly pulled me in and kept me turning the pages with fabulous characters, tons of mystery and intrigue, and a slow burn to love for Santos and Maddy. Bring on the next installment!
