Welcome to Summerville…
Arissa Haywood, editor of the popular Southern Charm magazine, is looking to get out of the rat race of Charleston so moves to the quirky town of Summerville. When a move-in disaster brings the sexy sheriff Hank Weathers to her door, she knows she’s made the right move.
Hank Weathers can’t deny the attraction to the beauty who just moved into his quiet town, but he’s been there before…a city girl trying to live in the country. He’s not going down that road again, but the attraction is too hard for them to ignore.
They jump feet first into a whirlwind romance. As the intensity of their relationship grows, Arissa begins to find discrepancies about Hank. Without his knowledge, she starts digging deeper into his past, aided by the Summerville Bells, the rowdy and provocative southern ladies who know everything about everyone in town.
When Arissa uncovers a shocking skeleton in the Weathers’ closet, she quickly learns that some secrets are best left hidden.
Cat’s Guilty Pleasure – “Man I don’t even know where to begin in telling you how much I loved this book.”
Goodreads Review – “Holy crap on a cracker I loved this book!!!”
Goodreads Review – “I didn’t want to put this book down. Gotta get my emotions in order!”
What a group of crazies! And then there’s the sexy Sheriff! Hotness personified! What did Arissa get herself into by moving out of the big city to the small town of Summerville? Nosy neighbors, demonic chicken, naked darts, cat wrangling? But sexy Sheriff Hank makes it all worth it. His mother is a different story though. Hiding a secret that wasn’t much of a stretch to figure out but her extremes were a shock. The small-town craziness that is the Belles, along with a few others, added levity to the undercurrent of secrecy surrounding Hank and his past. While the antics of the town folks added some humor to the story, some of it went a little too far and went on too long for me. I was skimming to get past the overflow of drinking, cussing and sex jokes. Which I’m distressed about because I usually love this duo’s storytelling and wonderful characters. I did love Arissa with her exciting job, sweet sexiness, and acceptance of her new town’s oddities. She captured the sexy Sheriff’s eye and heart quickly. There made a scorching hot couple with their good looks and sexy chemistry. This duo always gives us an interesting locale, unique local charm and characters, plus a sexy couple to root for and this story is no different. It was a page turner to get to the shocking ending that was a heart breaker when the secrets were revealed. While this wasn’t my favorite I love this duo and can’t wait for their next story. I would love more from Summerville and its wildly inappropriate Belles and other town folks. I think now that Noah’s back he needs a good woman like Maureen. And a beautiful Belle needs a handsome beau. One can hope!
LA Fiore is a hybrid author who believes in a happily ever after, but she likes to make her readers work for it. When she’s not writing she can usually be found in the garden or hanging on the deck with her family and friends. She lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her husband and two kids and their four fur babies.
Anthony started writing years ago as a hobby, but it quickly turned into a passion. He first began publishing under the name, Kane Caldwell, but has since changed the name he will continue publishing under. He is the epitome of a country boy with jeans, t-shirt, hat (No, not a cowboy hat. Lol), scruffy face, and work boots on, driving his truck and definitely not a guy you’d picture writing romance. Anthony works in the construction business where he runs his own crew. He has two awesome boys, and an amazing woman that keeps him on the edge. Anthony resides in the south where the weather is warm but most times sweltering hot. During down time, he loves to be surrounded by family, friends, great food, or engrossed in a good book. And of course, putting his imagination to work, where reality and fantasy collide.
