They call me “The Devil.”

Deranged and violent.

Gorgeous but frightening.

I’m a business man so when one of my debtors offers me his fiancé in exchange for a debt settled I figure why not, the woman will be a quick sell.

Repayment comes in the form of a beautiful but haunted young woman.

The light in her tempts the darkness inside of me.

Teases it, tortures it.

I want to hurt her.

I want to break her.

I want to keep her.

Lucky for Celia she fails to see that there is no goodness in me and when she attempts to draw me in with her innocence, and sweet naive heart I thrive to show her the cruel monster I am.

**This is a dark mafia romance, that contains non-con/dub con, graphic violence, and sexual themes. It is not a standalone novel and ends on a cliffhanger.**

Deranged is right! Wow, this was one crazy ride. It took me a minute to get into the story but the beginning was almost too much. Too much back and forth. Too much trying to push the limits. Too much trying to be something but didn’t quite get there for me. Ugh, we know where this is going…or do we? By the half way point I was enthralled. Was Nic really that horrible? Was Lucas going to loose it? Was Celia really going to auction? I’m not going to give away that OMG ending but I’ll tell you that Nic proved to be as deranged as the blurb portrayed. So dark, deviant and somehow so insanely hot. I loved that he followed through even at his worst. Celia tried hard to used her backbone and I loved the way she got to Nic. She was certainly naive but that was her upbringing. No real life experience just painful family drama. Not sure why the authors wanted to scar her but that seems to be a thing right now. Beautiful heroines with some physical damage. The story picked up about half way and then it was darkly wonderful as Nic and Celia became something more than captor and slave. There’s tons of mafia fighting and betrayal with Celia caught up in the game of revenge. The surprise at the end was mind blowing. What the heck is going on? This proved to be everything I want in a dark mafia story. A devious, dominant hero powerful enough to bring his enemies down, a beautiful heroine fighting against her fate, dark mafia families with ugly histories, terrific secondary characters, and jaw dropping twists and turns. There’s some hot sex but no real romance. It’s coming with a pair like Nic and Celia and it’s going to be so good when it hits. I can’t wait! Bring on the next installment. So worth the read!
