Everyone’s for sale, including me. One moment I’m the forgotten daughter of one of the most wealthy families in the country, and the next I’m the blushing bride in an arranged marriage. My fate is sealed in my wedded union with a complete stranger.
In public, Perry Constantine is the life of the party. Easygoing. Adored. In private, he’s brooding. Dark. Angry. But so am I. It’s a contest of wills to see who will break in the bedroom first, and while I try to remain strong, I find myself craving the very man I swore to hate.
MY REVIEW: Be still my heart! The last Constantine man is set to fall. The playboy Perry with all the charm and Ma Caroline’s favorite has been around from the start as a character that popped up in his siblings romance stories. I loved him through them all and couldn’t wait for his story. I do think Midnight Dynasty missed out on an epic story by not pairing him with his father’s mistress, Eva Morelli. How cool would that have been! But that didn’t happen so here we are with him paired with another beauty from a nasty family in need of rescuing. The only problem…the marriage was orchestrated by his mother and brother Winston along with the nasty father of the bride. An arranged marriage to “an angry virgin” from a horrible family. Poor Charlotte is going from the frying pan into the fire. From a evil controlling father to a seemingly controlling husband. But Perry’s a sweetheart especially when he stands up for Charlotte against her dangerous father. It takes a bit for these characters to come out and shine but that’s how this author tends to work. A bit slow and then bam, the romance hits and it’s sexy, sweet and just wonderful. There’s a bit of a mystery around Charlotte’s past romantic entanglement that was an embarrassment to her family and broke her heart. With the guy’s last name I knew who he would be because I’m a diehard fan of anything Midnight Dynasty and with the cliffhanger ending it popped. I guess will get a few answers about the need for the families to enter into this arrangement and find out more about Charlotte’s past. Perry was different than I thought he was from his appearances in other stories. He’s a bit of an uncover rebel, a hottie with a love of danger and all Constantine. Yum! I really liked Charlotte as her personality came out and she turned on the feisty. I’m all in with this romance and can’t wait for the next installment. Loved it!
